Get A ‘Window Seat’ on AmERYKAH Airlines

I wouldn’t even mind flying on AmERYKAH Airlines. There would probably be yoga, holistic and organic foods and plenty of soul to go around. Sounds like my kind of experience. Just like this new track “Window Seat” that’s expected to appear on her album New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) due out in March.

This track is so many things. Man, where do I begin. Erykah Badu is one of the original founders of what we now refer to as the neo-soul genre so to hear her grasp some of those traditional Badu elements is great. She’s come correct with this funky groove that will make you want to grab the one you love and take them to places. Funny how some good music will have you doing some of the strangest things. Yep, this is one of those times.

Erykah Badu comes with a plethora of different musical flavors and influence so there’s no telling what flavor you’ll get. But with “Window Seat” it’s classic Badu filled with hard rhythmic beats, those gritty soul vocals and drumming from ?uestlove from the group The Roots. How could you not love this?
