The ‘Velvet Teddy Bear’ himself, Ruben Studdard is back and promoting material from his 2009 album Love Is. His newest single is a smooth midtempo titled “They Dont Make ‘Em Like You No More” that is one the grown and sexy crowd will just fall in love with.
Ruben is the only artist I know to go from mainstream, to gospel, and back to mainstream quite seamlessly and this track makes it feel like he never left. In fact, to promote the track he recently appeared on The Wendy Williams show to perform it and also sat down with Wendy to talk about losing weight, becoming a Vegan, his wife and more. It’s great to see the Velvet Teddy Bear back and making music that sticks with you after you hear it. No gimmicks and nothing highly produced. This is just some real, bonafide feel good music and personally, I am loving it.
