Hey Usher! “There Goes My Baby”

2q3wrw5

Music to come from R&B artist Usher has been hit or miss over the last year or so. He really wowed us with the tracks on his Confessions album but now he’s back with another album titled Raymond vs Raymond, which is due out in a couple of weeks, and hopefully a new musical outlook.

He’s seemed to have strayed away from all that has made him a household name. It’s like we all knew the boy could sing and dance and croon a mean bedroom anthem. The candidness and brutal honesty we got on the COnfessions album, coupled with all the drama around splitting from his then girlfriend Chili from TLC, gave us an opportunity to really grow with him and understand his struggle.

He goes back to that lyrical closeness with “There Goes My Baby”, the next single to be lifted from the album. The track along with some sultry vocals from Usher and rhythms on the keyboards. He reminds us here how good he feels to have his woman. Surrounded by a bunch of other unremarkable tracks, “There Goes My Baby” is the diamond in the rough that shines through the coals as a perfect, contemporary love song full of appreciation and longing.

I am really feeling this track and with one listen you’ll know exactly why. This right here is classic Usher — a track that just works because it has everything it needs to do just that. He’s not trying to hard, collaborating with unnecessary artists or anything else. It’s just Usher, his superb vocals and a track that will make you want to throw this on repeat on a rainy day and soak in the love.
